What is the role?

Job Family: Technology - Job Level: Specialist

Due to the strong growth of our business (http://www.buongiorno.com) in Australia we are looking for an IT-oriented person with experience programming high traffic services on LAMP and Java platforms and strong communication skills to take care of the technical integration with mobile carriers and aggregators in the local markets. The successful candidate will work with the Infrastructure teams located in Europe.
Problem-solving skills related to software reliability and performance are essential.

What are the main responsibilities & tasks? 

The ideal candidate is specialized in web/mobile topics and/or interconnection with legacy systems and is able to understand requirements, collect interface specifications, translate and relay information to business managers and core technical teams based in remote locations, analyze log files and summarize them
in statistical data, provide suggestions on how to optimize the platform performance, test software and provide a technical descriptions of problems, implement simple data analysis scripts in Perl and or Python. 

What kind of profile do we need?

•  Technical background (degree in Computer Science or Engineering is a plus)
• Proven experience (min. 5 years) with Linux and Perl/Python scripting languages
• Experience with Java and/or PHP is a plus
• Experience with MySQL is a plus
• Energy, enthusiasm, curiosity and intelligence
• Available for occasion travel to Italy or within Australia
